My and freelance filmmaker Åsa Linder's documentary Jag brinner (I am burning) was shown on June 3 on SVT2. It is now on SVT Play until November 30, 2019 and it can be shown in the whole world. Reine Ullén was close to losing life in the forest fire in Västmanland 2014. Rescued by three brave firefighters and with 65 percent burns, he is deeply grateful that he is alive. At the same time, the traumatic event has left deep marks. His colleague Robert died and Reine begins to reevaluate his life. How do you proceed when a disaster occurs?
Me and the fantastic students in year 5 at Siljansnäs school in Leksand are in port, with this spring's big doll and film project – Barnen från Frostmofjället (The children from Frostmofjället). The film is inspired by Laura Fitinghoff's book of the same name from 1907. A strong story about courage, community and solidarity. But the feature film also has documentary elements, where you get an insight into the work process. In addition, the children's thoughts about life's big questions, in the strong and open-hearted interviews they are giving. The school project was under The puppet journey to the Leksand project and was funded by the General Heritage Foundation. I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to work on this great project!
